Join BDO & Unanet’s Government Contracting professionals for a CPE eligible webinar to discover some important tips that will help your organization ready itself to prepare the Incurred Cost Submission (ICS). Contractors with cost reimbursable contracts subject to the Allowable Cost and Payment Clause have six months from the close of their accounting year to submit the ICS to the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). Our practitioners will help you understand the complexities involved and provide insights pertaining to the preparation of your submission.

Prior to this role, Esther served as chief financial officer (CFO) for several organizations in the government contracting arena and nonprofit sector. She has also performed a multitude of Deltek CostPoint implementations. She also served in multiple roles at Siemens AG Germany ($100 billion in multinational sales, with operations in 192 countries and approximately 400,000 employees) leading internal audits worldwide. In her last role as a controller for Siemens Government Technologies, she was a member of Siemens’ senior management team.

Austin Naessens has over three years of experience within the government contracting industry auditing federal government contractors. He has been involved in the federal government contracting industry for his entire career. He has worked on projects for many agencies of the U.S. Government Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to name a few.

Austin’s experience has provided his knowledge of contract compliance and administration. Additionally, he is versed in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), 2 CFR 200 “Uniform Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards”, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Kim is currently the Vice President of GovCon Strategy for Unanet. She concentrates on thought leadership and market positioning specifically in the areas of project management, accounting and government contracting.

She started her career working for Raytheon where she held multiple management positions such as the Javelin Joint Venture Controller and Product Line Business Manager. Her love of Earned Value Management (EVM) developed in the early years of her career and today still enjoys talking about it and providing direction on best practices. After 17 years at Raytheon she joined ATK where she held the positions of Director of Business Systems, EVM Focal Point, and Finance Director.

Over the years Kim led multiple large ERP system implementations. She has been a mentor for her organizations and has provided guidance to many project and executive teams. Kim holds a BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas.
