Refreshable Web Query Updates
We are communicating an update to the way data can be queried in Unanet. As you may know, Microsoft Excel provides a Refreshable Web Query (RWQ) functionality, and we have been able to leverage RWQs for additional data manipulation. This includes creating custom reports and the Project Management Score Board (PMSB).
You may also be aware of the future release of Unanet 11.0. Our new release includes updated JavaScript language and the legacy RWQ technology is incompatible. As such, RWQs will yield error messages when utilized within Unanet 11.0.
To prepare for this change, we have developed a solution which suppresses the error messages upon refresh of data and are offering it free of charge to our customers. This Microsoft Excel add-in, Unanet-to-Excel (UTE), will also streamline the overall data refresh process of your workbooks. In addition, we have published Knowledge Center entries on RWQ and UTE and developed a tutorial to walk you through the UTE installation process.
The overall RWQ functionality is unchanged. New reports will yield ~11 error messages when data is first queried though, resulting in the action to click to dismiss each. Subsequent data refresh will be as it is today.

FAQ - How can I enter time on behalf of someone else?
If you have been authorized as a designated alternate timesheet user for another person, then you can create timesheets via +Timesheet as you would normally. Then select for whom you would like to create the timesheet on the right hand side of the screen. Similarly, if you are editing another person's existing timesheet, you can do this in Time-List, then right side of the screen choose the person.
If you are an Admin and if you have configured Unanet to allow Admin edits (not advised for DCAA compliance typically), then you can edit timesheets via People > List > List tab > hourglass icon
On another note, on behalf of our Support Team, please remember to update your per diem files!
CONUS PER DIEM FILE UPDATE: There was an updated Conus Per Diem file posted on 1/10/19 that corrected a glitch discovered where the updated file format for the DoD Per Diem files changed the 2/29 seasonal dates to 2/1 since 2019 is not a leap year and 2/29/2019 does not exist thus leaving a gap for the month of February 2019, after 2/1/19.
Those dates have been manually changed to 2/28 and the corrected per diem files were posted in FreshDesk on 1/10/19 so if you have not downloaded the CONUS per diem files as of 1/10/19, please do so!
